Not Your Nana's Benihana

For our first night in Tokyo, we headed to Omae XEX Teppanyaki.  The restaurant was beautiful...but empty!  We were a little nervous, but once the food started coming out, we were put at ease.  This is nothing like your local hibachi restaurant!  The quality of the ingredients, preparation, and presentation were perfection.  We had beef sushi, assorted Japanese appetizers, lobster, abalone with pesto, two cuts of meat with onion and garlic chips, horseradish mashed potatoes, lobster soup, and garlic fried rice! We learned that putting a little fresh wasabi and sea salt on the meat made it taste even more amazing. Check out some pics from the night.
