We realize that Europe is not a country, but since we only spent two weeks there, we combined all of our Europe posts. Enjoy!
We spent 10 days driving Ring Road, a road that runs around the entire island of Iceland. Known for its striking natural beauty, extremely hard-to-pronounce street names, hot springs, and very active volcanoes, this seemed like a great way to check out the whole country. Who doesn't love a good road trip?
It's safe to say that Dutch food doesn't have the same caché as other European cuisines like French, Italian, Spanish, or even Portuguese, but we had some of the best meals of our trip during our five days in Amsterdam.
More compact and picturesque than nearby Brussels, we decided to spend two days slowly soaking in the charm of Bruges. And what better way to share it than with a photo tour!
Sometimes we forget that we are living our dream. We get tripped up by our heavy backpacks, curse slow African Wi-Fi, and long for New York pizza. But then there are times when we are sitting in a Parisian park on a Thursday afternoon, feeling the sunshine on our faces, and enjoying a simple fresh baguette with ham, cheese and butter. That's when we remember.
Reykjavik can appear a little drab at first glance, especially since it's often cloudy and gray. But the countless displays of vibrant street art and graffiti that we would come across proved me wrong. Over the course of two days exploring this tiny city, we would find lots of little gems tucked away in alleyways.
